During the 2000-2001 school year I was employed by the Whitley County School District as a substitute teacher.  From May to December of 2001 I was a teacher's aide in the Whitley County High School Library.  In January of 2002, I was hired by the Williamsburg Independent School District to teach elementary Special Education.  Then in 2012 I moved from Special Education to Art.  Currently I teach visual arts to students in grades 3-12.

My name is Karen Brooks Fields and I am a 1994 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  While in college I met my husband and we were married in June of 2002.  In 2003 we settled in Corbin, so that we could be close to both our families.  In August of 2005 we had our daughter, Ryan and in 2009 a son, Tripp.  Currently, Ryan is in 1st grade at Williamsburg and Tripp is a future Yellow Jacket.
