I received my undergraduate degree from the University of the Cumberlands, where I earned a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in special education. I also earned two master degrees from the University of the Cumberlands. I earned degrees in high school education and teacher leadership.


I am currently in my 17.5 year of teaching. My first year of teaching was as a Special Education teacher at Boston Elementary for. I then spent three years at the Williamsburg Independent Alternative School. Then I spent one year as a  high school FMD teacher at Williamsburg City School. The next three years I spent teaching a elementary and middle school EBD unit at Williamsburg. For the last 10 years, I have been working as a High School collaborative teacher at Williamsburg City School. I have coached many sports during my seventeen year career. I spent one year as a elementary basketball coach. I spent one year as a middle school basketball coach at Williamsburg. I spent 5 years as the girls varsity track coach. I have spent all 17 years at Williamsburg as a varsity football coach. I spent 15 years as the defensive coordinator at Williamsburg, and I have coached WR's, QB, OL, DB's, DL, and LB's during my coaching career.




I am married to Amy Hatcher, and we have four boys. Our boys are named Hagen (18), Lane (15), Cade (12), and Reece (8). I am the son of Vaughn and Verna Hatcher. My father is a retired Health and Religion professor at the University of the Cumberlands. My mother is a retired teacher from Williamsburg, and she taught for 30 years. I came to Williamsburg as a teacher during the 2000-2001 school year. My wife and I are 1995 graduates of the Williamsburg City School. My family is members of Main Street Baptist Church of Williamsburg KY. We happily make our home in Williamsburg KY.
