Subjects Taught
World History

I graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington, Ky in 1985 then I moved onto Cumberland College where in 1989 I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Middle School Education.  I stayed at CC for the next two years where I pursued an additional high school certification in history in 1991.  I joined the wonderful staff at WISD in the fall of 1991 and have been here since.

For my first 7 years, I taught in the middle school.  My classes were social studies and language arts.  Then I transferred in 1998 to the high school where I taught the next 3 years.  Then I received the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal in the fall of 2001.  I began my tenure as lead Principal in the spring of 2005.  In the fall of 2008 I returned to the classroom.  This is my tenth year since administration on the WHS Social Studies team and I love what I do each and everyday!

I am originally from Hazard, Ky where I grew up until I moved to Lexington in 1983 where I finished school.  I consider myself to be a mountain "girl" however I prefer the city advantages!  I loved the small town atmosphere where I was raised and it's one of the reasons I enjoy our town of Williamsburg.
