I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University in May of 2014. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Middle Grades Education from University of the Cumberlands.

I have taught for 2 years at Williamsburg Independent School. For the 2014/2015 school year, I taught 6th grade Language Arts. Last year, I taught second grade. This year, I will begin my third year of teaching.

I love teaching and am passionate about impacting students. I am beginning my third year of teaching. I have taught sixth grade and second grade. I received my degree at Eastern Kentucky University and am currently pursuing my masters from University of the Cumberlands. I am the drama director at WISD as well as a middle school academic team coach.

I am so excited to be your child’s 6th grade Math teacher! I want my students to have a smooth transition into middle school. Therefore, I plan to accomplish this by providing a safe atmosphere for your child to learn and grow while also teaching them responsibility and self-motivation.

Your child will learn and grow a lot this year. I have a student centered classroom where students are expected to be fully engaged in the learning process. Furthermore, they are held accountable for their behavior and academic responsibilities. There will be many group learning activities and experiences. The students will learn, experience, and discover new content. Additionally, they will be stretched to achieve their own personal goals.

I know that your child will be successful this year in 6th grade! I have high expectations for my students and expect them to follow the rules/guidelines for my classroom in order to have a productive and successful school year. We will have a lot of fun learning together!

I look forward to meeting you soon and partnering with you in your child’s education. If you would like to set up a time to meet me and discuss your child, I would be more than happy to meet with you. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I want to have open communication with you. Email me at or call at 606-549-6044 ext. 228. Please leave me a voicemail, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I also use Class Dojo in the classroom, so that is a great way to communicate with me.
