The 2020-2021 school year brings me to my 26th year of teaching ALL at Williamsburg Independent. I even completed my student teaching here at Williamsburg!  In 1994, Eastern Kentucky University assigned me to complete my student teaching here; two years later, I was hired to teach what was then called Home Economics. Now the name Home Ec has been changed to Family and Consumer Science.

I'm originally from a small, rural farm town in Michigan, so teaching at a small school has been a natural fit for me. I was born with a desire to teach! I've been "playing school" since I was a child. For the past 25 years, I've had "real" students to teach instead of my teddy bears and childhood friends! I love what I do! And I love Williamsburg--evident in the fact that I've remained here--in the same classroom for all these years!

I met my husband here at Williamsburg and he is the District Director of Instruction for our school.  We have a daughter, Kelsey, who graduated last year (WHS Covid Class of 2020!) and is now attending Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.
