Williamsburg Independent Schools will implement Non-Traditional Instructional (NTI) Day #1 on November 11, 2025.
Students should complete assignments provided by their teachers through Google Classroom or paper packets previously distributed. Staff will be available during regular school hours to assist with any questions. Coaches will communicate with athletes regarding practices, scheduled games, etc.

Due to the uncertainty of the weather, tomorrow's Veterans Day activities have been rescheduled for Thursday, November 13th.
Due to the predicted winter weather, Williamsburg Independent Schools will dismiss preschool at 11:00 am and all other grades will be dismissed at 12:00pm.

Hey, Jacket Family! A few days ago, a note was sent out from Mrs. Housekeeper. That note included an invitation to complete a Comprehensive Needs Assessment Survey. The results of this survey will help us plan for the future of our district based on the needs of our students and families. Be sure to join us at Halloween Bash 2025! This year we are adding a haunted hallway for 6th-12th grade students. Please remember to park in school parking lots or the gravel parking lot. The church has an event that night and we are not able to use their parking lot.

ATTENTION JACKET FAMILY: Due to interstate traffic being re-routed into our city, bus arrivals may be delayed this afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Students who ride the orange bus (1906) will be transported by the purple bus (150) on the Friday morning and afternoon routes. Please have your students ready to be picked up at the original time. However, there could be a delay. We will ensure every student has access to breakfast upon arrival.

This afternoon, September 8, 2025, at approximately 1:50 p.m., a student reported to staff that another student was in possession of a knife on campus. Our School Resource Officers were immediately notified and responded without delay.
Out of an abundance of caution, the weapon was secured, and the student involved was removed from the learning environment in accordance with district safety protocols. The situation was addressed promptly. At no point were any students or staff members in danger.
Student safety is a top priority for Williamsburg Independent Schools.

Welcome back, Jacket Family! We are so excited to see you tomorrow! Please remember that parents/guardians of kindergartners are welcome to walk their student to class on the first three days of school, then must use the drop-off line. High school and middle school will have a change to the previous breakfast schedule. They may get a hot breakfast from the Snack Shack or a cold grab-and-go breakfast from designated spots upstairs between 7:20 and 7:55. They may eat in the Senior Lounge or their 1st period classroom.
